Tom Alker's 100 miles-in-a-day cycling challenge

Story

I am aiming to cycle 100 miles in a day at UCLan cycle track to raise funds for Meningitis Now in memory of my sister Emily. She was looking forward to starting a law degree but her life was tragically cut short by this devastating disease. Our lives can never be the same without her. By raising awareness and funds, I hope to help prevent other lives being lost. Please donate what you can to help raise as much as possible for this important charity in memory of my fantastic big sister.

Did it!

8th July 2018
It was a tough ride with the hot weather but I managed to complete the 100 miles in around 6 hours. I want to say a massive thank you to everybody who turned up to support me, especially as England's quarter final match in the World Cup was that day! Plus of course huge thanks to everybody who has donated to Meningitis Now. This website is still accepting donations, so if you haven't had a chance to donate yet, please feel free to add your donation and any comment. Thanks again to everybody for your support in memory of Emily, my fantastic big sister.
