In July 2017, one of my closest friends sadly passed away after contracting bacterial meningitis whilst on holiday. Emily was the kindest and most caring person I have ever had the fortune of meeting and although our friendship was short, I will forever cherish the memories we made. I was so lucky to have known Emily, and been able to call her my friend and I hope to raise money for the charity Meningitis Now in order to both raise money and also awareness for such an incredible charity helping people by both supporting families and researching such a horrific illness.
